Spencer Wang
Co-founder
Hello! I’m Spencer, a 12th-grade student at the Princeton International School of Mathematics and Science (PRISMS). I love mathematics and programming, and I also enjoy connecting with people. While volunteering at a senior living community, I was often moved by the elders’ kindness and their life stories. Inspired by these experiences, my peers and I founded Grand&Teens, dedicated to building meaningful, intergenerational communication. Centering on interviews and documentation, we listen carefully to every account and turn these stories into lasting texts and visuals.
We sincerely invite you to join us: let the wisdom of elders be seen and heard, lighting up more hearts; and let more young people approach seniors, forming networks of connection and companionship to build a broader, more caring community together.

I’m Austin, a 12th-grade student at the Princeton International School of Mathematics and Science (PRISMS). I grew up surrounded by elders who shaped my values, and when I moved to Princeton four years ago and could only connect with my grandparents from afar, I started thinking about the seniors living near my school. That sparked the idea of creating a bridge of support between teenagers and older adults.
As we record and preserve Seniors' memories through interviews and videos, I noticed many faced challenges with technology, so we started to also offer tech support to help them feel more confident and connected in a digital world.

Co-founder
Hello! My name is Allen, and I am a student at Princeton International School of Math and Science. Inspired by my grandparents and the seniors in my neighborhood, I joined Grand & Teens as a freshman with the goal of helping build meaningful support across generations. I believe teenagers can gain invaluable insights from the wisdom and experiences of older generations, lessons shaped by both challenges and achievements. In return, teens can contribute technical knowledge, creativity, and fresh perspectives. Together, we can bridge the generational gap and create a stronger, more connected community.
Mia Gan
Interviewer
Hi! I'm Mia, a Freshman at PRISMS.
I have the desire to get many young hearts in order to reach many New Jersey senior communities in need; by helping seniors, we can make many positive changes across the state.
For the last few years I was involved in helping a local church community with collecting and delivering food to many individuals. Although this makes an impact, I feel the senior community would need more help on meaningful communication, including helping on modern technologies and understanding communities.
Grand&Teens is a perfect bridge where elderly and teens connect, where teens can learn and grow through seniors' wisdom and experiences and seniors can get help to better understand today's technologies.
Please join Grand&Teens!
Kris Sheng
Interviewer
Hi! I’m Kris Sheng.
I’m a 10th-grade student at Princeton International School of Mathematics and Science. I enjoy running and listening to classical music. I believe music is the richest language that connects us together, and bridge gaps between generations.
As inspired by a musical event, the Grand&Teens project will continue its journey of appreciating beauty of music with eldery residents--and of course go much further than that. Music can carry memories, reminiscences and feelings, and as a Grand&Teens interviewer, I love hearing stories from seniors and learning from their life experiences. Together, we can help preserve those precious memories through communications.
I sincerely welcome everyone to join us!
