About Us

In 2024, when we—Spencer and Austin—were juniors at the Princeton International School of Mathematics and Science, a musical community event at a senior home changed the course of our lives. Conversations with elderly residents revealed to us a missing bridge between older and younger generations. Their wisdom and stories inspired a question: could we create a platform to bring generations closer together?

We believe that seniors hold invaluable life experiences, while young people bring energy and technological insight. Together, these strengths can spark fresh thinking and new opportunities. Motivated by this vision, we launched a project dedicated to fostering meaningful intergenerational connections.

Soon after, Allen—then a 9th grader, now in 10th grade—joined our team. With great enthusiasm, he reached out to elders in his own life: a former principal, teachers, and neighbors, and joined us in conducting oral-history interviews. His passion brought new momentum and helped turn our idea into reality.

Now, as seniors, we continue this journey side by side. From that first spark of inspiration to countless interviews, community events, and early prototypes, GRAND&TEENS has grown into a community where stories and technology meet. Our hope is that this platform not only preserves the precious life stories of seniors but also helps young people learn, grow, and discover warmth and inspiration across generations.
